Age Policy

Why 21+?

Our age policy exists to ensure compliance with Minnesota cannabis laws and to create a safe, responsible environment for all attendees. Cannabis education and events involving cannabis culture are legally restricted to adults 21 and older, and we take this requirement seriously.

ID Requirements

All attendees must present valid government-issued photo identification at entry. Acceptable forms of ID include:

At the Event

Upon arrival at any Prairie Grass Festival event:

• All attendees will have their ID checked at the entrance
• IDs may be scanned or verified electronically
• Wristbands will be issued after age verification
• Random ID checks may occur throughout the event
• Anyone unable to provide valid ID will be denied entry

No Exceptions Policy

We maintain a strict no-exceptions policy regarding age requirements:

• No one under 21 will be admitted under any circumstances
• Children and minors cannot attend, even with parental supervision
• There are no designated "all ages" areas at our events
• Ticket purchases are non-refundable if age requirements cannot be met

False Identification

The use of false, altered, or borrowed identification is illegal and will not be tolerated. If we determine that an ID is fake, altered, or belongs to someone else, entry will be denied, the individual may be reported to local law enforcement, and no refund will be provided.

Responsible Consumption

Being 21+ is just the first step. We encourage all attendees to consume responsibly, know their limits, and look out for fellow community members. Prairie Grass Festival promotes education and harm reduction as core values of our events.
